Nrep Logicenters, the largest owner and developer of modern logistics properties in the Nordic region, acquires a newly built 21,000 sqm property in Jönköping, which is an important logistics location in the middle of Sweden

Nrep Logicenters has acquired a newly built 21,000 sqm logistics property in Torsvik, Jönköping, from Reach Fastigheter. The main tenant is Babyshop and the property is used for their e-commerce business to support sales in the Nordic region, US and UK. In addition to the warehouse, the facility hosts a modern office and photo studio to support Babyshop as they expand their business.

The property was developed in 2016 and is located in the new expansive Stigamo area south of Torsvik.

”We are very satisfied with the acquisition of the property. It has great specifications and a strategic location in the heart of Sweden with visibility towards E4 highway. It is in line with our strategy to both develop and acquire standing modern prime logistics properties and to further strengthen our position as a strategic partner for logistics companies. Beyond that, we look forward to further expand our knowledge of e-commerce companies and their demand for modern facilities,” comments Hampus Brodin, Investment Manager at Nrep Logicenters.

“With this transaction, Nrep Logicenters once again proves the benefit of a consistent market presence and a wide local network, enabling us to source transactions. We now strengthen our presence further in Jönköping which is an important logistics location in the middle of Sweden,” comments Matthias Kettelhoit, Commercial Head of Nrep Logicenters.

Stefan Alvarsson, founder and owner of Reach Fastigheter, comments: “Reach Fastigheter has developed this 21,000 sqm property in close cooperation with Babyshop, and we are very pleased about our new business relation with Nrep Logicenters, who we are confident will be a strong partner to Babyshop in their future growth.”

The property was acquired by Nrep Nordic Strategies Fund II, which mainly focuses on logistics, residential and retail properties in the Nordic region and is backed by a number of international blue chip institutional investors. The fund made its first investments in the spring of 2016 and has an investment capacity of more than EUR 1.5 billion.
