What we offer for young professionals

Job opportunities for both students and recent graduates in our internship and student positions are available – as well as other entry-level jobs. In all our positions you’ll be an integrated and valued member of the team from day one. Our responsibility is to ensure you will be challenged by tasks you are ready to take on and provide mentorship by senior Nrepers.

We offer many opportunities that align with our purpose and we take pride in our culture of trust by giving our people strong mandate, also in junior roles.

Many of our young – and more seasoned – professionals like to connect in Nrep’s social gatherings. You get to enjoy our international atmosphere and build cross-border connections with your colleagues around Nordics and Europe.

Investment internship program

The internship consists mostly of working closely together with our investment professionals in sourcing and executing investments and divestments across real estate segments as well as developing new business opportunities for Nrep.

During the internship, you will be a full-time member of our investment team, analyze investments and markets, prepare materials for decision-making, and participate in different phases of deal-making.

You will get to work in a rapidly growing, international company where you enjoy various possibilities for professional development as well as many team activities and social gatherings. You will be guided and supported by senior colleagues, and the internship will build your analysis, problem-solving, presentation and collaboration skills as well as give you an overview of investment process as a part of a highly skilled, non-hierarchical team. These skills are valuable to anyone considering a career in, e.g., private equity, investment management, investment banking, management consulting or real estate.

Our investment teams in Helsinki, Stockholm and Oslo offer internships of 3 to 5 months for fall and spring periods. Application periods for the next internships are following:

  • Helsinki: August-September 2024
  • Stockholm: January 2024 and August-September 2024

Please follow our open positions to keep up to date with our application schedules.

Part-time roles for students

We offer part-time student roles and temporary trainee positions within our different teams and functions. For example, investment, finance, asset management and sustainability teams have recurring openings for students.

If you are working besides studies, you usually work between 15 and 20 hours per week with some flexibility. Due to our continued growth, often our students are offered an opportunity for a full-time position after graduation. Working besides studies gives you the possibility to investigate your interests and look for internal job opportunities when hoping to find new challenges.

What is it like to be an investment intern?

Our previous interns have been happy to find out that it is possible to combine a challenging work environment, a great group of people, and a work-life balance that is manageable. It is also often mentioned that nice and relaxed environment, support with tasks and possibility to get a lot of responsibility even as a junior person support the steep learning curve during the internship.

Build you career at Nrep

Luka Lahtinen started his career at Nrep as a Junior Asset Manager while finishing his studies in Real Estate Economics at Aalto University.

Listen out what Nrep has to offer for young professionals at the beginning of their career.

  • David Berggren, Investment Intern

I decided to join Nrep because of its strong reputation in the real estate private equity sector. The company’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and making a positive impact in the communities it operates in aligns with my values.

Joining Nrep provides a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking organization that is shaping the future of real estate. For someone in their early career, Nrep offers a supportive environment for learning and growth, exposure to diverse and challenging projects, and mentorship from industry leaders.

During my internship at Nrep, I gained valuable insights into real estate private equity, honed my analytical skills, and learned to navigate the complexities of deal-making. The exposure to sustainable and socially responsible investment practices has broadened my perspective on the role of business in society. Additionally, working within a collaborative team has enhanced my communication and teamwork skills, providing a solid foundation for my future career in the industry. (fall 2023)

  • Ville Haapanen, Investment Intern

What I appreciated the most at Nrep, was the overall culture both companywide and within the team. Since day one I felt really welcomed, as everyone was very eager to get to know me and work together.

It was also amazing to see how much effort Nrep puts into the internship program. Starting from the first day, colleagues want you to develop and learn. It was a great experience to get a lot of responsibility, but still having everyone in the team to support you if questions arise.

Looking back at my internship at Nrep, I am grateful to have tremendously developed my professional toolkit and gained many new friends. Truly an experience I will cherish far into the future. (Spring 2023)

  • Noora Räsänen

Noora Räsänen, Investment Associate, ex-Investment Intern

I initially applied to Nrep’s Investment Intern program as I was eager to get exposure on the real estate industry and private equity transactions. What really impressed me was the atmosphere at Nrep – I was welcomed as a full team member since day one and my colleagues were genuinely keen to support my development throughout the internship, also offering me opportunities to take responsibility in my work.

  • Julius Alanne

Julius Alanne, Investment Associate, ex-Investment Intern

Three things made me want to rejoin Nrep after my internship: firstly opportunity to work in small and agile deal teams with loads of responsibility, secondly the healthy and fun working culture and finally Nrep’s innovativeness in offering cutting edge real estate products in the Nordic market.

  • Milja Lempinen, Investment Intern

One of the best things at Nrep for me has been the aspect that even though I have primarily worked in our tight-knit investment team, I have also gotten to do projects and tasks more broadly with different teams and people. This has enabled me to learn a lot about the PERE industry and Nrep as a company, on top of gaining experience in the investment work itself. In addition, I truly value the amount of support and coaching I have received during the internship – it has definitely accelerated my development! (Spring 2022)
