Nrep Logicenters continues the development of Brunna logistics park in cooperation with Zalando

June 1, 2017

Nrep Logicenters, the largest owner and developer of modern logistics properties in the Nordic region, continues its development of Brunna logistics park to meet the demand from growing e-commerce businesses

In cooperation with Zalando, the largest online fashion retailer in Europe, Nrep is rapidly creating a solution for Zalando’s local distribution in the Nordic region based on a pan-regional fulfillment center in Brunna logistics park north of Stockholm, Sweden. Zalando will immediately get access to an existing 13,000 sqm property that Nrep acquired from NCC, and subsequently expand into a new adjacent 30,000 sqm fulfillment center, which NREP has now begun constructing.

“Generally, fast-growing e-commerce companies are struggling to sufficiently promptly gain access to the property infrastructure required to meet their customers’ requirements on service and deliveries,” comments Matthias Kettelhoit, Commercial Head of Nrep Logicenters.

Nrep Logicenters acquired land in Brunna at an earlier stage and is one of the main operators in the area. The company has noted increasing demand and will continue to invest there.

“Brunna is currently one of the most attractive logistics areas in the Nordic region and its strategic location makes it possible to reach all the Nordic countries with short lead times,” Matthias Kettelhoit continues.

“To develop the property infrastructure required to support the rapidly increasing logistics demand that we are currently witnessing, it is necessary for municipalities, land owners, logistics operators and industrial operators to collaborate effectively. In Sweden, we have previously made similar investments in the development of attractive logistics areas outside Borås, Jönköping, Nykvarn and Rosersberg. In Norway, we are currently developing an area south of Oslo, and in Denmark, we are developing Køge and Greve just south of Copenhagen,” comments Richard Dahlberg, founding partner and CIO of Nrep.

“There is huge demand for major modern logistics facilities in the right location, and we are in constant dialogue with several municipalities and land owners in interesting logistics areas with a view to make similar investments,” Matthias Kettelhoit concludes.

The main advisors to Nrep Logicenters’ cooperation with Zalando have been CBRE and Real Advokatbyrå.
