Nrep Earns Two Nominations at MIPIM Awards 2025
Nrep is proud to announce that two of its projects have been shortlisted for the internationally renowned MIPIM Awards 2025. UN17 Village is finalist in the “Best residential project” category, while the Innovation Project in Bålsta is in the running for the “Best industrial & logistics project” category.
The nominations underscore Nrep’s holistic approach to improving the built environment. The UN17 Village, located in Copenhagen’s Ørestad district, is a groundbreaking residential development and the world’s first housing project to fully incorporate all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. With top-tier certifications, it serves as a scalable blueprint for cities tackling challenges like climate change and social cohesion. Impressively, 95% of its units were let before construction was completed, demonstrating that sustainability and desirability can go hand in hand.
In Sweden, the Innovation Project in Bålsta is pioneering sustainable logistics. As the only Swedish project shortlisted this year, the facility sets a new standard for the industry, achieving an industry-low carbon footprint of just 2.7 kgCO₂/m²/year. Central to this achievement is the use of bio-based materials in the load-bearing structure and the development of wooden wall panels with hemp insulation, enabling an 88% reduction in carbon emissions. The project also prioritizes employee well-being, offering thoughtfully designed spaces and serene outdoor areas to foster a work environment where people can thrive, not just work.

The MIPIM Awards, established in 1991, celebrate excellence in global real estate, recognizing projects that combine innovation, sustainability, and visionary design. Winners will be announced at the MIPIM Awards Ceremony on 13 March 2025 in Cannes, where the global real estate community will gather to honor the industry’s most transformative achievements.
